Wednesday, the Seattle Kraken announced the signing of defenseman to a $908,000 entry-level contract.

“We are excited for Caden to officially join our organization after a career year in the WHL,” general manager Ron Francis said via press release. “We’ve been impressed with his progress so far and are looking forward to seeing him continue to develop going forward.”

Recording 55 points in 62 games this past season, Price finished the regular season fourth on the Kelowna Rockets and 12th among all WHL defensemen in scoring.

As with the rest of the organization’s recent prospect signings, Price will report to the Coachella Valley Firebirds for the rest of the AHL postseason on an amateur tryout contract. Eduard Šalé, Carson Rehkopf, and Lukas Dragicevic have already been signed to ELCs– Price will be the fourth from the Kraken’s 2023 draft class to do so.

The Coachella Valley Firebirds officially signed Rehkopf to an ATO on Wednesday, along with forward Andrei Loshko and defenseman Kaden Hammell. Neither Loshko nor Hammell have signed contracts with the Kraken.
