Following up from Dragicevic, Ron Francis selects another WHL defenseman, this time from Kelowna, to shore up the Deep Blue’s Blueline.
If Dragicevic brings the cocaine speedboat approach to defense, then Price brings a much more stable, smart, transition focused game that allows him to get points but will still backcheck in a safe, sane manner. The words “Modern NHL Defenseman” come up a lot when people talk about Price.
Really, it’s just getting him to lean a little more into that shot and he should be a solid defender later on in life.
