Hammell has a fairly decent floor; he’s a big body, a physical presence, and a guy who’s willing to help do the meat-and-potatoes shot-blocking, board battling, and lane denying of a defenseman. Where he needs to work? Offense. He’s got more in him, and he found it after his trade from Kamloops to Everett, where he will likely stay for the upcoming season.
I know this may cause conflict of interest between our T-Bird/Kraken faithful, but I implore you to hold your nose and hope that he does all of his scoring away from Kent.
