On a serious note, I just want to take a second to extend DJLR’s sincerest condolences to the family of Adam Johnson and to the Nottingham Panthers; who died from a skate blade slicing his neck open during a game in England after a freak collision. I really don’t recommend looking up the footage; it’s the kind of grim you as a good person needs no reason to put yourself through.
If you happen to play, please remember to wear a neck protector and a face shield or cage. Drill some holes in one of those half-bubble masks if you’re that worried about it the polycarbonate ones fogging up. Don’t put your life in the hands of a scrum on the boards.
