Welcome back! Tonight’s game against Detroit is part of the NHL and ESPN’s “Frozen Frenzy” promotion, in which all 32 teams* will be competing with staggered starts, meaning we might get some cut-ins from other games while we’re watching. The Squids will be the 8th game to drop the puck, and just in time to cause some real trouble.
Currently running is Avs vs. Islanders, Florida vs. Sharks, Stars vs. Penguins, Devils vs. Canadiens, and I’m pretty sure at time of posting the early slate of Toronto vs. Washington, Buffalo vs. Ottawa, and Carolina vs. Tampa are either finishing up or deep in the third period. Fun times! I’ll probably give you a more comprehensive discussion of the idea alongside the Recap.
