Kraken comeback falls short, lose to Blues in OT

The Kraken lost once again, but they did at least show a lot of fight and came away with a loser point in the standings. Trailing 3-1, they scrambled back in the second period to tie the game. The third period was all Seattle — they tallied 26 shot attempts to the Blues’ 8, and accounted for 1.1 expected goals to the Blues’ 0.3, per Natural Stat Trick. They couldn’t get one to go in, but the fight this team showed in that period was fantastic.

Honestly, there was a lot that happened in this one, so let’s just break it into the good and the bad.

The good

The bad

The flotsam and jetsam

The Kraken next hit the ice on Friday at 6pm against the Colorado Avalanche, in Colorado.
