guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

Do you really need the highlights to this?

Game Notes

  • It doesn’t matter tonight who was on the ice longest because that means 20+ minutes of somebody not scoring on the Ottawa Senators.
  • A comedy of errors in front of their net tonight for the Kraken. It made Daccord’s night all the worse, and as a result he felt like he needed to do what he did on the second goal. When you’re sitting there assuming your defense is not going to be able to do most of the work for you, they’re gonna start taking stupid chances like that. It’s just how it goes.
  • This team is not very good. Maybe not the worst, but this is absolutely the most frustrating game they’ve played this year; they control play, they get shots to net…and two mistakes brought the whole thing to it’s knees.
  • Anton Forsberg got a shutout. Forsberg is probably the least effective goaltender in the NHL today…and he got to be prime Hasek. This offense has bad engine knock to the point it might be banging on the hood.
  • Power play bad again; they went 0-3.
  • At this point I think Ethan Bear should be a Seattle Kraken. Why not? All the other guys on the back end have been rough; might as well see what the devil you don’t know is about.
  • Look…Joey…Buddy. If you’re gonna be aggressive, please have the common courtesy to hedge your bets? It’s gonna make everyone else and their barbers much happier.
  • I dunno, man. This team’s issues have been plain as day since game one. Their 5-on-5 game is dead, their inability to press the opponent is well documented, and their goaltending has to suffer for their bad net-front defense. I get the feeling I’m gonna be re-writing the last sentence about 60+ times over the next few months, and that stinks. I know this team is better than that…But I don’t know if they know that.
  • Something’s gotta give here, David. Time to fix some things.
