• Dustin Wolf had himself a less than stellar game last time, but will almost certainly find himself in net once again.
• Wranglers got goals from Cole Schwindt twice, and Sam Morton.
• Matt Coronato had 2 points on assists tonight. They need to keep them off the scoresheet.

So! Back in Coachella Valley!

Expect a complete gong show.

Thanks to the Firebirds’ win having some debateable caveats, the Firebirds and Wranglers are going to be heating up big time. The Refs will be a major point of contention for Calgary as the series moves back to Cali, and an already close series will likely involve the Wranglers coming out with a head of steam after a couple of days of stewing in the results of Game 2. They will almost certainly be looking to score the first goal and definitely try to get their pound of flesh from a number of players; particularly Devin Shore and likely Ryker Evans, who’ve been giving the Wranglers fits through the first couple of games.

Coachella will need to take advantage of the home crowd and keep the momentum going from the hard work of their vets who stepped up big time in the previous outing. Tonight? It’s the youths who need to get involved. Evans has been an early standout, but guys like Wright and Winterton need to find their way onto the scoresheet. If they can get that going, then they can take full control of this series, and potentially put it away on Friday evening. They just have to keep attacking Dustin Wolf and the net-front, they have to keep the Calgary forecheck to the outside…

…and they just have to hope the Refs aren’t feeling apologetic.
