After this...it counts.

The Need To Knows:

The Time: 6pm PT

The Place: Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Place to Watch: KONG-TV, NHL Network (Though it’s not gonna be right as the game starts which is lame)

Place to Listen: KJR 950 AM among others in network.

Know your Enemy:

The Edmonton Oilers are probably gonna be missing Kailer Yamamoto due to a lower body injury among others who’ve been taking their and have put alleged sex pest Jake Virtanen out on his ass after his PTO finished. Good riddance.

Game Notes:

This is it. The final rehearsal before 82 games of regular season hockey. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s with Connor McDavid threatening to indeed make his appearance known to the general public again in the sweater they choose to avoid using every so often because the organization makes good and smart choices.

Given that opening night is 5 days away, it also behooves Coach Hakstol and company to really impress on these players that this is their last chance to really impress them. Most of the team will probably be fine with that, as they’re regular NHLers. There are a vanishingly small amount left who may be on the first flight to California after the weekend rather than Seattle.

We will see whether or not the Kraken, and especially their tweeners, can make one final good impression before they have to go on a short trip of California.

Let’s get hype. Let’s go Kraken.
