The Torrent are back! They’ve returned from a short break for Olympic camps, and are now facing a team for whom the offseason seemed to have a particularly rusty and ugly knife for: the Ottawa Charge.
Between being picked apart by the Torrent and Goldeneyes as well as getting the unfortunate news that their building is getting renovated in a way that will lose it seats, the Charge are truly the most punished team in the PWHL this year. To make matters worse, theyve only ever gotten a single win: all others have been regulation losses and not especially close ones either; the Charge’s closest game this year being against Vancouver and only ever because they played with enough pride to not get shut out…and this is a back to back for the Charge.
Meanwhile, Seattle is rested, relaxed, and presumably ready to take on this foe in the wind. They still need to make up some ground as well, but mostly in keeping the lead; they’ve struggled with that in their early season.
That said? Let’s see if they can take another major step by taking on an opponent while they’re still reeling! LET’S GO TORRENT!
