When the Seattle Torrent host the Boston Fleet Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena (2 pm start), opposing general managers Meghan Turner (Seattle) and Danielle Marmer (Boston) will be in uncharted territory – not rooting for each other.
Great friends growing up, they became college teammates and later roommates. Marmer was the one who brought Turner into the PWHL as her assistant general manager with the Fleet.
I recently had the chance to ask Marmer about the relationship, which will be put on temporary hold for about three hours Sunday afternoon.
