Last Nov. 17, Seattle Kraken captain Jordan Eberle was chasing after a puck against the Blackhawks at Climate Pledge Arena when he slammed awkwardly into the boards.

Eberle sustained a pelvic injury that required surgery, followed by months of grueling rehab. “It’s definitely the hardest thing I’ve gone through,” Eberle told NHL.com. “The hardest part for me was this is an injury that I couldn’t find evidence of another hockey player having. So, to have to go through surgery, I was obviously in the mindset of, ‘am I going to be able to actually come back and play hockey again?’ Those thoughts cross your mind.”

Though he missed 40 games, the captain’s determination allowed him to make a surprisingly quick return for a late February game against the Florida Panthers.

To make sure he’s in shape to keep up with the NHL’s young ‘uns next season, Eberle will pursue an offseason regimen he details in this Kraken Reaction.
