Second Half Of ‘Back-To-Backs’ Were Lost Cause For Kraken Last Season

An April night after perhaps their most impressive win of the season, 2-1 over the Kings in L.A., the Seattle Kraken played their 12th and final back-to-back game. That’s hockey-speak for playing games on consecutive nights.

The Apr. 8 outcome against Utah HC was – how do I put this in hockey speak – an unmitigated disaster. As seen in the above photo, the Kraken were squashed, 7-1. Utah lived up to its new Mammoth nickname, scoring all seven goals before the end of the 2nd period. What other result could there have been? The 2024-25 Kraken, in the second game of “back-to-backs,” lost all 12.

If anyone on the Kraken knew why, they would have done something about it. Jaden Schwartz was asked why, and he didn’t know either, as he tries to explain in this Kraken Reaction.
