Kraken draft Kyle Jackson with pick No. 196

With their final pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the Kraken selected center Kyle Jackson at pick No. 196.

Jackson comes from the Ontario Hockey League’s North Bay Battalion, where he finished with 66 points in 45 games — third on the team in points per game. He joins fellow Battalion skater Ty Nelson in the 2022 Kraken draft class. The highlight of Jackson’s 2021-22 season game in the playoffs, when he notched four goals in on game en route to a 6-4 victory over Shane Wright’s Kingston Frontenacs. Think he’ll remind Wright of that when they get to development camp? I sure would.
