The Kraken release the schedule

The National Hockey League released the regular season schedule for all 32 teams on Wednesday afternoon. Here’s a look at the full slate of games for the Kraken:

Seattle starts with a quick road trip to Southern California before returning home to open Climate Pledge Arena with a game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Last year, Seattle visited Vegas for the Knights’ home opener, and lost on what may or may not have been a kicked in goal, but who remembers such things anyway.

The longest homestand of the season comes in November, when they’ll play six games from November 8th through the day before Thanksgiving. The longest road trip comes at the beginning of January, when they play 7 games in 6 states/provinces, including a back-to-back in Montreal and Buffalo. In total there will be 8 back-to-backs for Seattle, and all but one (January 27th & 28th against Calgary and Columbus) will involve at least one road game.

Seattle also gets six afternoon games with a 1pm Pacific start. Four will be on the road (Chicago, Philadelphia, San Jose, Nashville) while two will come at home — one on Martin Luther King Jr. Day against Tampa Bay and another on March 18th against Edmonton.

The final home game of the season will mirror their home opener: they close in Seattle against the Vegas Golden Knights, this time in the second half of a home-and-home on April 13th.

There will be eight Hockey Is For Everyone (HIFE) theme nights in Seattle this year as follows:

And finally, Kraken legend and former captain Mark Giordano returns to Climate Pledge Arena to face off against Seattle for the first time in his career on February 26th, which will also be the Kraken Kids Day game.

How is everyone feeling about the schedule?
