Ryker Evans, Andrew Poturalski named to AHL All-Star Classic

The Kraken’s All-Star accolades don’t just stop with Matty Beniers. On Wednesday morning, the American Hockey League announced the full rosters for the AHL All-Star Classic, which will take place on February 5-6 in Laval, Québec. And not one, but two Kraken prospects made the club! Andrew Poturalksi and Ryker Evans will represent the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the 2023 AHL All-Start game.

Poturalski has appeared in only 4 NHL games in his career, but has lit it up in the AHL recently. He led the league in points in each of the last two seasons, and is once again scoring above a point per game pace this season. He signed a 2-year deal with the Kraken last July, and etched his name into the franchise history books with the first overtime winner in Firebirds history this past November.

Evans was the second-ever selection for Seattle in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, one round after Matty Beniers. He is currently tied for first among all rookie defenders with 21 points in 33 games in the AHL.

A few more fun Seattle-related nuggets:

Congratulations to the future of the Kraken, and good luck in Québec next month!
