It felt like the Kraken were in for a sleepy deadline…and then they decided to McMann up.
According to various insiders, the Seattle Kraken have traded a 2nd round pick in 2027 and a 4th round pick in 2026 for Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Bobby McMann!
The Wainwright, Alberta product is a large lad who plays like it: the 6’2, 209-pound forward loves the power game but has recently taken up a very important role for the Toronto Maple Leafs as “The guy the eye test says is actually trying”; something that matters quite a lot right now since the Leafs are Not Great and that is making Leafs fans very normal and sane.
To give you a highlight that may have a bit of unusual versimilitude, here’s the comeback goal he got with John Forslund on the call:
Analytically, Bobby McMann is definitely a solid middle six forward who may not be especially defensively stalwart, but his ability to attack the net has largely served him well.

Of course, he’s another depth forward who efforts hard in a team loaded with depth forwards who effort hard, so if you’re looking for the fabled high skill player, we’re still waiting on that.
Regardless, I think McMann will make some fans through the last few weeks of the season with his style of play.
Let’s all welcome Bobby to The Deep!
