Know Your Enemy:

The Oilers through this preseason have definitely been an adventure. You can definitely tell when the Oilers have trotted out McDavid and Draisaitl; as the results have swung hard in their favor when they play. One can only assume McDrai will do the same tonight.

Game Notes:

One more game. Then it counts.

While obviously this will likely feature two mostly-NHL lineups, the Kraken still have players to evaluate; Shane Wright has been a consistent playmaker this preseason, as has Tye Kartye. Ryker Evans has been asked night after night to play top pairing minutes and has mostly acquitted himself to it very well. To say nothing, of course, about the reality of the Squids’ backup being very, very unsolved. These players have survived cut after cut after cut and have made Dave Hakstol’s job veeeeery difficult. Whatever they do tonight will likely have a major impact on what he and Ron Francis decide over the next four days before the Kraken are due in Vegas.

It’s almost certainly going to come down to the wire, and every shift for these young guns counts for their very own locker at Climate Pledge.

LET’S GO KRAKEN!
