The world of preseason hockey begins! Let’s get super hyperbolic about prospects playing each other!
Like I said in the prospects challenge, this will be a truncated preseason; predominantly taken up by practices at KCI and occasionally sending a team out to play either the Canucks, or the Flames. This time? It’s the Canucks.
Both teams are likely to be very AHL/prospect heavy, so taking much from this is a fool’s errand unless a prospect goes blackout and leaves the rink with four points. Still, this is a great opportunity for the Kraken to see who wants to be part of camp past September, and the Canucks, a team with a pretty decent prospect pool, are a great way to find out who’s looking to stay past the end of the month.
It’s Vancouver, it’s Seattle…it’s preseason. But it’s hockey, and frankly, we can see it as the herald of the season finally coming into focus.
LET’S GO KRAKEN!
