Game Preview
Alright! That’s one Western Canadian team absolutely vanquished, let’s go deal with the other one!
No, not that one. The other other one.
The Calgary Flames are expected to be much the same as the Canucks this year; albeit with something resembling a plan, which is…adorable, but that doesn’t quite make up for the fact that they were kinda butt.
This will be Calgary’s first game of preseason, which will mean they will probably be going very Wrangler-heavy when it comes to roster construction. The Wranglers last year were not very good at all on the grounds that most of their best players were either hurt or playing for the big club, and that will more than likely be the case this year as well. Still, it’s a big year for guys like Zayne Parekh to show what they’re made of.
As for the Kraken, I imagine this will either be where a couple of depth pieces make their way back onto the roster to see how they gel with the rookies, or another Firebird Special. As a fan of a lot of the guys on the Firebirds and the Kraken, I can’t lose either way!
But I’d like it if they pulled a win off the Flames tonight.
