Preseason is FINALLY here! So we hope you’ve got some screens for what’s coming up:
- The Away Game in Calgary starts first, at 6. You can watch that over on the Flames’ website.
- The Home Game in Seattle starts an hour later at 7, and that game is on ROOT Sports+. If you have ROOT, it comes with your cable. Start digging for it.
As the squad is split today, the Kraken are splitting duties everywhere; Dave Hakstol has gone over the border to Calgary while the Firebirds coaching staff, including Dan Bylsma and Jessie Campbell, will give the Homefront guidance. The roster itself is split down the middle, with a sizeable chunk of the young prospects and Coachella regulars heading north, and the NHL regulars sticking closer to home.
While Calgary definitely is uh…formidable under the wrong circumstances, they have to do the same thing today. Barring a disaster, there will not be another 10-0 beatdown.
The only stakes worth mentioning is that every prospective rookie has a chance to make themselves known. Your future is in your hands, youths.
LET’S GO (preseason) KRAKEN
