The Kraken faced a moribund nightmare in the Canucks and proved that even if they aren’t perfect, they’re at least better than Vancouver!
The Problem of course, is that now they have to play a team that is actually very good.
The Canes are a wagon at the moment; 8-0-2 in their last 10 games and proven that once again they can kind of play whatever game they wanna: Shutout? Got that. Boat race? Had it against Tampa and won. Keep it close then pull away? Yup.
Does that mean this bodes ill for the Kraken?…Maybe not?
The Kraken’s last meeting against the Canes was not some astronomical blowout; it was merely a one goal game that the Canes came back from after a helluva rally in the third period. it was another Kraken special, too; they only had 12 shots on goal on that game and they still got the Eastern Conference silver medalists to sweat a little bit.
All they gotta do is get after their goalie, and even a team that’s put into the Canes’ torment nexus can come and scare them.
