Game Preview
The Kraken have been eliminated from playoff contention. I am sure this is a great shock.
Who hasn’t been eliminated yet however, is the Los Angeles Kings; who have learned to score goals again, and are thus on a 4 game winning streak with every last point they get being a step closer to them returning to the postseason.
Enter Seattle.
Winners of two straight, including the first win of Nikke Kokko’s NHL career, Seattle has a unique proposition tonight of being able to do something unbelievably funny to the Kings.
You see, this is the last game between these two clubs and Seattle has won all three of the previous contests. They were close, thats no doubt about it, but they still won. Further, with the Predators playing tonight against the Sharks, there is a non-zero chance that the Preds could overtake the Kings tonight.
Sure, LA plays Vancouver and Calgary to finish their season so its not like it kills them dead, but it puts the fear of God into them. It scares them in a way no other team can quite accomplish.
…Because if you cant best this year’s Kraken once, what chance do you have against Colorado?
LETS GO KRAKEN, LETS GO SQUIDS
