This team beat Carolina, y’know.
Anyway, the last week and change is already looking to be a bad sign for everybody, as the Kraken are mollywhopping up on the Bruins. The Kraken are now in a position that they could end up finally falling out of the playoff picture entirely thanks to some truly gruesome performances, most recently that truly frustrating Nashville tilt. They will play a titan of the league, a team seemingly tailor-made for the playoffs and for the winning of it tonight. It’s truly one of the most damaging teams you could expect to face.
They lead possession most nights, they score more than almost every other team…it’s going to be a massive uphill battle.
…So naturally I fully expect the Seattle Kraken to win this game against the Colorado Avalanche.
What, you thought this was gonna be some kind of funeral?
The Avalanche recently have been one-goal-up wonders through their last three games; having won a game in the shootout, having lost in the shootout, and a loss in regulation to the Oilers; all ending much, much, much closer than Colorado probably wants.
That seems exactly the kind of game the Kraken can play.
Of course, they have to test Scott Wedgewood and sorely; he’s one of the better goaltenders in the NHL and even if he sometimes stumbles, he’s a serious puzzle to solve. They need to start by getting up in his mask as much as humanly possible to get going on that.

LET’S GO KRAKEN, LET’S GO SQUIDS
