The death march of Kraken hockey continues as Seattle now faces a Minnesota team that is firmly thinking about how they’re going to tackle their Central Division rivals in the Dallas Stars. Just firmly thinking about that and nothing else. They’ve already proven themselves, Bill Guerin has earned himself a little backpatting (which should also be dopeslapping after the olympics but that’s neither here nor there), and the Wild are as ferocious a team as any that they’ve ever had.
Meanwhile…you know, at this point? I think we’re acquainted with this version of the Kraken now. This hideous reminder of work to be done.
For this reason, I want the Kraken to break this streak here. It would be funny to break it on a team like Vegas in jerseys we have a pretty good feeling about being cursed, but that’s easy. I want the Kraken to find their game tonight. I need them to find their game tonight. There needs to be some progression here. Things cannot continue to be a constant spiral into the grave.
If the one team I dislike for extremely dumb and petty reasons got their W last night, then let’s steal a W from a team I at best think about maybe once a week when I double check the standings.
