The Caps have all but assured their ticket to the NHL Playoffs, and as such just about everything they do is now focused on one thing:
The Chase. The Ch8se, if you’re fat fingering it.
Alex Ovechkin is now a mere 10 goals from tying Wayne Gretzky’s record as all time leading scorer for the NHL. This has been THE goal, aside from maybe going to the Cup finals one more time: that’d be fun. They don’t hyperfocus on it, they’re not quite to the point of double shifting him, but it’s still a major point of their season right now, and the Kraken should have him marked all game long.
Otherwise, the Kraken will need to try and solve the problem of Charlie Lindgren, who’s been playing out of his mind lately.
