Kraken @ Bruins RECAP: Seattle gets embarrassed in 2-0 Loss

Here is what passes for highlights

Game Notes

  • Your TOI Leader was Ryker Evans, who played 25:29
  • The way the Kraken handled the puck tonight, you’d think that either their pucks or their sticks were sitting in tubs of olive oil before the game. They could barely handle the puck, they could barely beat the Bruins to any loose pucks, they couldn’t corral it for any longer than a few seconds at best before throwing it into another Kraken’s skates or shot it wide. Their offense was simply, and quite bluntly, horrible.
  • It should also be noted that this only describes the final two periods of the game, as the Kraken made it clear they had no ability to meaningfully impact this game by having zero shots on goal through the first twenty minutes of this game. That is beyond inexcusable. Were they not due in Colorado for the final game of their road trip, I would say that every skater who suited up tonight was due for a bag skate.
  • Look, I think Ryker Evans is a decent player…but I don’t know if Ryker Evans is ready for the role he’s been given. Granted, I think my principal complaint of the defense being completely incapable of actually breaking up a play and getting a zone exit is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here so he’s not alone in his troubles, but the poor guy is being asked to do a lot for this squad’s ability to leave their own end and I think he needs more help.
  • I’m not gonna bring up the special teams tonight. The PK is fine, because you don’t necessarily need to have the puck to get a successful penalty kill off…but man that power play is cooked. They need help and badly.
  • Uncharacteristically bad night for the Bjorkstrand line and boy did it look it. They didn’t look like they had any real chemistry, which is insane for at least two players who’ve been playing dozens of games together at this point. Usually they’re a source of strength for the team, and their bad night became everybody’s bad night.
  • You jerks wasted a .939 SV% on Joey Daccord’s part. Every good part of your lunch should be given directly to him for the rest of November.

Was there-

JOEY DACCORD. THAT’S IT.

Man you’d better hammer the Avs on Tuesday.

The Kraken head back west, with their final part of the roadie happening on Tuesday against the Avalanche in Colorado.

That game is on at 6pm PT. We’ll see you there, and god forbid…

Keep Calm, and Post Zoidberg When We Win.
