Jagger Firkus signs his Entry Level Contract with Seattle!

Didja hear! The Circus is in town! The Firkus Circus!

Er…well, it’s gonna be in Palm Springs for a bit first, but THEN it’s gonna be in Seattle! You know what I mean!

But the Circus is here indeed, as Kraken prospect Jagger Firkus signed his Entry Level Contract with Seattle today, worth $950,000 AAV for the next three years!

Firkus was selected by the Kraken in the 2nd round of the 2022 draft, taken 35th overall. Clearly motivated by the choice, he’s largely kept up the pace of his torrid scoring through the last couple of years, finishing this year with Moose Jaw with 88 points in 66 games, and 21 points in the WHL playoffs in 10 games. Tragically, the Warriors couldn’t overcome the Winnipeg ICE (yes, that is how I’m supposed to write that. I don’t know why they need the specification) in the playoffs and were bounced in 6 games in the WHL’s second round.

Bright side? He can slot right in with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, who could really use Firkus right about now for their series against the Eagles, as we’ve outlined before; it’s already shaping up to be a dogfight.

Firkus has signed an ATO with the Firebirds, and is expected to play at some point versus Colorado with Logan Morrison whose also expecting to join the Firebirds in their quest for the Calder! (THE HOCKEY PROSPECT, NOT THE OTHER GUY)

With all that said, let’s all give a warm official welcome to Jagger!
