Note: This is the third of a four-part Kraken Reaction conversation with Furness.
Most North American hockey media outlets aren’t buying what the 2024-25 Seattle Kraken are selling.
Of course, they weren’t two seasons ago either, when Seattle won 46 games and barely missed out on the conference finals. TV host for the new Kraken Hockey Network Ian Furness advises area fans to ignore the doom-and-gloom forecasts again this season.
Furness, also the midday host at sports radio KJR-FM, says one area of unappreciated strength for the Kraken is at center. He thinks the foursome of Matty Beniers (above photo), Chandler Stephenson, Yanni Gourde and Shane Wright is a quartet that’s hard to top.
