Know Your Enemy
- The Admirals have only scored 4 goals in 3 games over the course of this series…and two of them came in Game 3.
- It’s Grosenick or bust for Milwaukee; they’re gonna need him to be big for them.
- Will Zach L’Heureux get a hat trick? Not of goals, but of Series Game Misconducts. He’s got two, and given how desperate the Admirals are, we might just get there!
Game Preview
This is it. Game 4. On the other side of it, a Game 5…or the AHL Calder Cup Finals. Awaiting them will very likely be the Hershey Bears by the beginning of the 3rd period.
The Firebirds have to keep doing what they’re doing: support Driedger, force Milwaukee’s defense to keep their heads up, and keep Grosenick moving around in his crease; something they have done VERY well so far! Really, if there’s anything that they need to make a hard decision on…it’s Shane Wright. Wright’s injury isn’t serious, and he’s been pretty damn good when he’s played, but CV has been pretty mum on whether or not he’ll return, and with the team rolling like it is, it’s now up in the air to figure out whether or not they’re going to play him this round at all. Sure, getting him back in game shape for a potential rematch with Hershey would be fun, but do you really wanna risk it with these guys? Especially with how bent out of shape they are in terms of penalties?
The Admirals meanwhile…need to figure something, anything out. They can’t solve Driedger, who’s been a solid rock wall, they can barely solve the Firebirds defense, and every time the Firebirds turn up ice, they find space away from their forecheckers. If they want to survive…they need to dig as deep as they possibly can. We of course, don’t want them to do that, but if anything’s going to get them out of this hole, it’s trusting someone in their depth to show up big time.
Let’s finish this out right and go get some vengeance! Go Firebirds!
