Just a nice solid win. No notes...well, maybe some other notes.

But first, the Highlights!

Game Notes:

  • Your TOI Leader was Adam Larsson, who played 24:12 TOI tonight.
  • Jared McCann became the Kraken’s first ever 30 goal scorer in opening up the scoresheet for Seattle, but I think on a longer time scale his work is even more impressive; over the last 10 games he’s racked up 10 points! Excellent stretch for him, it’s nice to see his hard work rewarded!
  • Seattle Special Teams came to play tonight! Penalty kill was 3-for-4 which was decent, but let’s give it up for the power play which went 2-for-4! If they keep this up they might have a future in this here league.
  • Grubauer finished his night with a respectable .913 SV%, his only two goals-against being a Patrik Laine power play shot (one of the things Laine is objectively fantastic at), and Adam Boqvist who managed to get off a half decent shot in the slot with a man in front of him. No real complaints for his performance tonight, good job!
  • Man Jordan Eberle put every last player in a meatgrinder on his goal. There were kids watching tonight, Ebs!
  • Oh hey Brandon Tanev finally did the thing we’ve begged the Kraken to do whenever the opponent pulls the goalie thank you Turbo now please teach this to the rest of your team.
  • Eeli Tolvanen helped feed Alex Wennberg his goal for the day, and is now up to 24 points. I am sure this makes Preds fans very happy.
  • The Kraken with this win keep pace...but so did the Oilers. We’re destined to do this forever, it seems.
  • The Kraken didn’t make much noise at the deadline, but I don’t think anyone on the team is concerned. As Jordan Eberle said: they believe enough in each other to not warrant any.
  • We’ll be trying to get the gamethreads together with a little more regularity, we apologize for missing this one!
  • In the meantime, could you do us a favor and do this little survey we’ve made if you can spare the time? We’d really like to hear from you on the continuation of DJLR after April 1st.
  • Keep Calm, and Post Zoidberg When We Win.

Let’s take a look at this one through some NaturalStatTrick.com charts!

The Kraken get a day off for travel, then head out to Denver to take on the Avalanche. That game starts at 6pm PT.

We’ll see you there!
