Kraken 2022 Training Camp Open Thread!

We made it! The long, hot, ice-less summer draws to a close, and on this first day of Autumn we have arrived at hockey season. The Seattle Kraken opened up their official training camp on Thursday morning after a quick 3-day rookie camp earlier in the week. This will be the first time they’ll get to play together as a group in earnest since the end of last year, and the first time many of them will play alongside newcomers André Burakovsky and Oliver Bjorkstrand. Speaking of Burakovsky:

Thursday’s camp will take place throughout the morning and afternoon, with head coach Dave Hakstol expected to address the media around 1:30 Pacific. The dates for training camp and preseason through the rest of September (subject to change) will be as follows:

Friday, Sept. 23

Sept. 24

DAY OFF

Sept. 25

Sept. 26

Sept. 27

Sept. 28

Approx. 11am – Team Blue availability

Sept. 29

In other great news, those that can’t make it to the Kraken Community Iceplex but would like to see how training camp unfolds from the comfort of their own desk while their boss isn’t looking can catch a livestream on the Kraken’s YouTube channel.

The full roster of players invited to training camp can be seen below. Anyone and everyone is on it with the exception of Ryan Winterton, the Kraken’s 3rd-round draft pick in 2021. He’s still rehabbing from an injury and isn’t expected to play until the end of December/beginning of January.
