Dave Lowry joins Kraken as Assistant Coach

While the Kraken seem to have settled in on vacation time and waiting for training camp/preseason to start, it appears Ronnie has been busy making sure Coach Hakstol has plenty of help this upcoming season, as the Kraken have brought aboard Ex-Jets interim head coach Dave Lowry as an assistant:

Lowry was interim head coach of the tail-spinning Winnipeg Jets back when Paul Maurice stepped down from the position, coaching them to a reasonably respectable 26-21-6 over the remaining season, though the Jets chose not to keep him aboard after they missed the playoffs and hired Rick Bowness instead.

Lowry has been in the NHL in assistant roles for about six years now, bouncing between Western Conference teams like the Flames and Kings, and a head coach largely at the Junior level, with time spent with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Calgary Hitmen, and the Victoria Royals out in BC. A solid pedigree for the guy!

As for what capacity he will serve as coach, that remains to be seen, but it definitely helps to have people to delegate to.

Please welcome Dave Lowry to the deep!
