Kraken unveil Reverse Retro jersey

The alternates are here!

It’s here! The Seattle Kraken finally introduced the world to their first alternate jersey in franchise history, as part of the wider release of the Reverse Retro jerseys for all 32 NHL teams. The NHL brought back the generally successful launch of the reverse retro designs from 2020-21, which were described as “throwback jerseys with modern twists.”

The Kraken didn’t give this jersey the exact barber stripes of the old Metropolitans sweaters, but they still definitely added a few stripes. Like a lot of stripes.

Here’s the full video of the announcement from the team.

No dates have been announced just yet regarding when the Kraken will first take the ice in these new sweaters.

Update:

Seattle will wear their new alternate jerseys at four home games this year:

  • Nov. 13 vs Winnipeg
  • Dec. 3 against Florida
  • Dec. 30 against Edmonton
  • Feb. 23 against Boston

They go on sale to the general public on November 15th, and will be listed between $190-$240.
