The Kraken are hot off the heels of their 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, and have one a few games now that they’re at the very least established in the league. As with many teams, they had taken up a “Player of the game paraphernalia” award that’s usually something small the Social Media team can photograph them with, everyone can have a good laugh, and then re-crown it next game. The Kraken had taken to using a pirate hat recently, and snapping on an advantage, Jerry Bruckheimer decided to do something real cool for the players.

The Davy Jones hat is of course part of the iconic getup of Bill Nighy’s iconic portrayal of Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, complete with the barnacles!
Of course, one can only hope the Kraken are at long last starting to get a chance to actually use the dang thing as they come into this next road trip on a winning streak, starting in Tampa.
But until then? Happy thanksgiving!
