Jordan Eberle skated onto the ice for the 2024-25 season with a Seattle Kraken jersey slightly different than any of his teammates. Above and to the right of the Kraken “S” logo, the 15-year, 1,060-game NHL veteran had a “C” affixed to his sweater.
Eberle had been named the second captain in the history of the Kraken, and the first since Mark Giordano was traded late in the team’s expansion season. His captaincy was complicated by a rare pelvic injury in a November game against Chicago that limited the winger to 42 games.
I asked the captain about his first season wearing the “C” for this Kraken Reaction.
